About Us
About Us
We are a group of engineers who spend their entire professional lives in corporations designing electronic equipment for the most demanding industries. Music is for us one of the ways of spending free time, naturally connecting to our professional life.
After over a dozen years of communing with commercial audio equipment and a constant feeling of insufficiency, we decided to create our own devices that would satisfy our needs. The effect turned out to be so interesting that RT-Project was born.
DAC One
DAC One
Digital section
Two AKM AK4495 digital-to-analogue converters operating in mono mode, each in the “dual balanced” configuration (4 signals per channel).- DACs are clocked from an external, differential Master Clock (MCLK) with extremely low phase noise (total jitter <1ps R.M.S).
- The MCLK synthesized but not reproduced from the SPDIF/USB signal as in competitive devices.
- The input signal is not digitally filtered from input to the output. DAC uses unaltered every bit of information provided to the input (“bit perfect”).
DAC One is compatible with SPDIF and USB (USB Audio Class 2.0) data formats PCM from 16bit/44.1kHz to 24bit/384kHz and DSD from x64 to x128 (SPDIF signal is limited to PCM 32bit/192kHz and DSD 64x encoded as DoP).- Six switchable inputs: USB 2.0, 2 x SPDIF, 2 x TOSLINK and AES/EBU.
- Separate DAC board assembly for easy exchange/upgrade.
- The power supply is based on 4 discrete and 12 integrated circuit regulators.
- Dedicated transformer with separated windings; one for the DSP digital part and the other for DAC.
Volume control in the range from 0dB to -127dB,- Optionally DAC One can be equipped with hybrid volume attenuator using Amtrans AMRG and Vishay Dale resistors. With this module you can connect DAC One directly to the Power Amplifier.
- Infrared remote control.
Casing
Vibration damping casing made of rigid steel sheet with double thickness sides.- Aluminum front panel with a thickness of 10 mm (available in different finishes and colors).
- Floating, internal chassis soundproofed.
- Neutrik connectors with silver-coated contacts.
Analog section (tube version)
The analog stage contains 6 differential amplifiers. Two pairs for balanced output and third pair for unbalanced signal, which is product of balanced signal.- NOS Philips 5963 tubes (ECC82 type), selected after many hours of listening sessions.
- Working point of tubes fixed with lithium cells (guaranteed durability 10 years).
- Six passive anode power supplies and one discrete DC filament power supply were used.
- Highest quality components (Amtrans, Jantzen, Cornell Dubilier, Elna, Nichicon, WIMA, Vishay), silver coated copper signal wires in PTFE casing.
- The final sound shaped by many hours of listening.
Analog section (solid state version)
The analog stage contains 6 differential amplifiers. Two pairs for balanced output and third pair for unbalanced signal, which is product of balanced signal.- A fully balanced and symmetrical circuit, including symmetrical, shallow, negative feedback.
- The final stage working in Class A with the use of Toshiba audio transistors.
- No capacitors in the signal path, both on input and output.
- A fully complementary discrete amplifier with symmetrical power supply and paired transistors.
- Dual mono power supply system comprising two independent transformers and 4 discrete analog power supplies.
- Highest quality components (Amtrans, Jantzen, Cornell Dubilier, Elna, Nichicon, WIMA, Vishay), silver coated copper signal wires in PTFE casing.
- The final sound shaped by many hours of listening.
Analog section (dual)
Joins advantages of solid state and tube version (except of balanced XLR outputs).- The analog stage contains 1 tube and 1 solid state module per channel.
- Two RCA outputs per channel are available, one switchable between solid state and tube and one fixed to solid state.

“… I can guarantee that listening to both DAC One solid state and tube version will be worth your time. This is a great, well-built and developed (…) devices that you can proudly put on a shelf, then forget about them and indulge in listening to music.”

“Every sub-range: bass, mid-range and high – are simply great with DAC One. Many aspects, which usually audiophiles evaluate, also perform very well, but the key (I hope) to the success of this device are, above all, consistency, smoothness and naturalness of the sound.”
